Pick up at Costa Maya

Travel to Chacchoben - 50 minutes

You’ll step aboard our air conditioned vehicle that will take you to the ancient mayan city of Chacchoben.

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour - 1 hour 30 minutes

Uncover the mysteries of the ancient mayans as you walk through the buildings and structures of Chacchoben. Weave through the winding natural paths and experience the grandeur of this exciting archaeological site. We’ll visit: Templo 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas and Temple One. During this excursion you will also have the possibility of learning about local plants and seeing some species of local fauna including birds and spider monkeys.

Back to Costa Maya - 1 hour

Finally we will take you back to port Costa Maya on time to board your ship.

Costa Maya cruise-ship terminal is a privately owned port complex and exclusively operated by cruise lines. Local tour companies are not allowed to have pick up service inside the complex nor have any representatives inside the port. All the excursions inside the Costa Maya port complex are operated only by cruise lines, if you book an excursion with Eco Experience you will have to leave the port complex in order to find our location and representatives. Start time: This excursion is especially planned to meet cruise ship schedule, starting time mainly depends on your ship’s time of arrival, you will have a maximum of 45 minutes to get to our location once the ship has docked and has opened the doors for people to get off. Your driver and guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it.

Remember this is a shared excursion, punctuality is very important, in order to take full advantage of the activity we must start on time. Please be respectful of other people’s time and be ready to start the excursion as soon as you get to the meeting point. Use the restroom and change your clothes before you leave the ship.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. Cancelling between 6 and 3 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. In case of cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
